Why should I choose NYFC for my catering needs?
Simply stated, you have to experience the difference that is New York Food Company (NYFC). We are a catering and event production company. That's it. We have no restaurant or retail outlet to compete with your event. NYFC is a pioneer in the catering community, having spent 24 years helping to define this industry. We are very proud to be the South Bay's most respected and requested caterer. Earning your trust and your business is our priority.

How many guests do I need to place an order from NYFC?
For mid-week catering, we require a minimum of 10 guests for cold selections, 15 for hot selections, continental breakfast, or delivered BBQs. Hot breakfasts or cook-on-site BBQs are a minimum of 20.

Where does NYFC deliver to?
Regular deliveries are made in an area bordered by Santa Monica, Southern Los Angeles, Long Beach and all communities in between. If you are located outside this delivery area, an additional delivery fee may apply.

What should I expect the day of delivery?
Your food will be delivered by one of our uniformed staff within a 15-minute delivery window, elegantly presented on decorative trays, attractive bowls, or ornate baskets - including all appropriate serving utensils. Meals are delivered ready to be served buffet style, including heavy duty disposable plates, napkins, plastic knives, forks, spoons and all appropriate condiments. Upon arrival, your driver will contact you to let you know they have arrived, deliver your meal to the designated location, unwrap the food as appropriate, light Sterno if applicable, confirm accuracy of food and equipment delivery - then leave as quietly as they arrived. Unless otherwise requested, we will return the following day to retrieve all equipment. If you prefer a same day pick-up, just let us know. No extra charge. (Except on weekends or after hours events.)

How do I arrange delivery to a secure building?
Our driver coordinator will meet with you to discuss the best solution to your particular delivery challenges. Many companies prefer to take members of our staff through their security clearance process. Let us know what is best for you.

What forms of payment do you accept?
We gladly accept cash, corporate or personal check, MasterCard, Visa, American Express or Diners Club charge cards. Upon approval, we will be happy to establish a corporate account for your convenience.

I just got a call for a last-minute meeting, what can I do?
No problem! If you can be a bit flexible as to menu selection and time of delivery, we will be happy to be of service. No extra charge.

Special Dietary Needs.
Just let your service coordinator know when placing your order. We’ll be happy to prepare special dishes for these guests and as always, no extra charge.

What about other special requests?
You've probably heard the saying, "cater to your needs." That's just what we do! If you can dream it up, our staff can make it reality. Our award winning culinary team loves a good challenge, so just because an item may not be on the menu doesn't mean you can't request it. Ask your service coordinator for more details.

Upgraded Corporate Service.
A simple request that takes your corporate service to the next tier. Service includes china, glass and silver, linen napkins, ice bucket and scoop, buffet linen, salt and pepper shakers, glass coffee mugs and rolling butler service for an additional $6.00 per guest plus delivery fee. (Server required for groups of 35 or more.)

NYFC has long been recognized as one of Southern California's premier special event production companies. From 10 guests to 5,000 guests - we have the experience to handle any event with menus ranging from sandwiches to multiple course meals. From the boardroom to the beach, we are your off-premise specialist. NYFC's designers will meet with you to help coordinate your needs.

Cancellation Policy
In order to assure the highest quality available, every NYFC event is prepared to order. We have no way to re-use your food; therefore we must request 24-hour notice to cancel any event. When this just isn't possible, we would be happy to arrange delivery of your order to a different location or, if you prefer, we can make a donation in your name to a food bank and deliver the receipt to you.

Our boardroom just isn't big enough - any ideas?
Lots - just ask! In addition to bringing food to you, NYFC is the driving force behind two of the South Bay's most sought after special event venues! Verandas in Manhattan Beach and La Venta Inn in Palos Verdes Estates are ideal venues for retreats, stockholders meetings, presentations - whatever your need, we're happy to assist.
